Final thoughts

I really loved this challenge.

It was difficult at times but I felt fulfilled to be creative in this way. It was a great outlet for me and, in the end, I feel much better about my appearance and how I can make a stronger effort to look nice. I don't think it will be long until I try this again. And I think you should too:)

Here are some things I learned and some new "rules" I will probably implement when I do this challenge again this spring.

1. Skip the weekends. The challenge doesn't have to be 30 consecutive days and some Saturday and Sundays should just be jeans and a T-shirt day. Especially during the winter.

2. Pick lots of shoes. I just chose four pair and it was difficult to work with those. Plus, if you buy cheap shoes like me.. I feel like, by the end, they were completely worn out. No way those brown boots are making it through another winter.

3. Good pictures go a long way. When your ultimate goal is to feel good about yourself, the pictures you have to look at and remember the outfit by can help or hurt some days. Spring should be better with more day light and warmer temps..

Day 28

Yes, I cheated on the last day with some new shoes I'd been anxious to wear.. And the photo was taken by my 6 year old so consider the "tilt" artistic license..

I missed my other clothes... My Joe's jeans feel really good today and I think they missed me too:)

Catching up..

Here are several outfits from last week.

Like I mentioned before, I took a break from planning for several days so I am still working on the last few days until the end.

Though I have been a little frustrated in the last week, it's only because I feel like I have learned alot about myself and my style and what I want from fashion. I am excited to start fresh with some new ideas and hopes to be more daring. Plus, I am really sick of these 27 items. Really sick. I might be donating them in a few days so I don't have to look at them anymore:) kidding... sort of...

I am proud to have lasted this long and not to have bought any clothes for a month. I feel much more educated and in touch with my style for when I can go shopping again. More on that later....

For now, here is last week.

Day 25

And I know I wore the same belt two days in a row but technically it was Friday and Monday so not as bad as it looks. I've found I can't seem to live without this belt or my black one. As you can tell from the last 25 days..

Winding down..

I've gotten to the part of this challenge where I am feeling less than enthusiastic.

It is technically Day 28 but three days last week I didn't follow along. Thursday I had to take all my kids to the dentist and one was sick so basically I wore jeans all day and a sweatshirt. In the same vein, I spent all weekend at home and had no reason to wear anything but yoga pants.

Plus, in my defense, I have spent a large majority of my time in the last week potty training two two-year-olds so my fashion sense has taken a break.

Here is day 21 and I will post the other 5 days tomorrow.
(I promised to step up my photo game which means all my pics are on my camera still..)

Recap first 20 days

I am proud I have made it this far. It's been fun but it becoming very challenging. I love the idea but am excited to start again with new clothes. I think next time I'll be more educated on the 30 items to pick.

Plus, in these last few days I am realizing how important those extra four items I didn't choose would be.. Maybe I can rework the rules a little bit for the working mom version of this thing.

Anyway, I'd still love some suggestions if anyone has them and again, I appreciate all the comments and support.

Days 18-20

Sorry I've been behind.. I like to give you several days at a time instead of bore you with the day to day...
